Celebrating the Past, the Present and the Future :
Physio&Co turns ONE
Nothing beats feting a milestone, including one to mark a first business anniversary. Company founder Áine Ní Mhuiris took the occasion to celebrate Physio & Co’s first birthday in style, with an early evening Apéro Riche held on 5th July at the Zunfthaus zur Zimmerleuten in Zurich’s OldTown.
With close to fifty attendees from a wide range of businesses and representing a dozen different nationalities, the guests shared two things in common: a connection with Physio & Co and the desire to celebrate this important milestone with company founder Áine Ní Mhuiris.
Good Food, Wine and Company
Company dos can be rather drab and boring, with those in attendance itching to leave early. But not this one. Áine’s warm and personal welcoming, paired with the lovely historic Zunfthaus setting, made for a fabulous, fun-filled atmosphere that had the guests stay until well after the official end of the event. Apart from being pampered with delicious finger food (provided by Zunfthaus Zimmerleuten), fine wines (supplied by Weinbau Trutmann) and exquisite handmade chocolates (crafted by Bernard Chua from Yi Xi), the informal ambience made it easy to meet, mingle and chat to new friends.
Compared to the impressive Zunfthaus zu Zimmerleuten (Guild House of the Carpenters), which dates back to the 14th century, Physio & Co is still in its very early stages. But as the adage goes, it’s not the years in a life but the life in the years that count – and the people we interact with. With several people key to the success of Physio & Co present at the event, host Áine used her welcoming speech to honour and thank those unsung heroes who have quietly contributed to the success of Physio & Co, including the accountants’ office Lenz Treuhand AG, the law firm BianchiSchwald and the Timberroll team, just to mention a few.

To use another quote, this time from the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw: “Life isn'tabout finding yourself. Life is about creatingyourself”. Within the space of twelve months, Áine Ni Mhuiris has managed to set up a thriving physiotherapy practice that, today, enjoys not only an excellent reputation but is growing, with experienced physiotherapist Betina Villanueva having recently joined the Physio & Co team
The Future spells:
The Apéro also provided the perfect occasion for a very important announcement: the launch of keYou, a corporate health service devised by Physio & Co and designed to offer all-encompassing, tailor-made health services to businesses of all sizes. Based on the principles that health and wellbeing are key factors for a happy and productive life, and that we all hold the key to our health and wellbeing, keYou covers three main areas:
physical health - mental health - nutrition & diet
For a first glimpse of what will be on offer, the guests were privy to a ‘sneak preview’ in the formof an interactive presentation on posture by keYou creator Áine, followed by an introduction to burnout prevention by clinical psychologist Josée van den Hurk Schmidlin and psychiatrist Vanessa D. Tatje.
The full range of keYou services will be available from January 2019, with presentations and seminars on some topics provided before that. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event drew to a close at approximately 10 pm. A big thanks to our Apéro host, Áine, for a fun, informative and interactive evening, filled with culinary treats, great conversations and inspiring presentations!
